Piedmont Storage Facility (“Piedmont Storage,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is dedicated to offering clean, secure, affordable, and dependable storage solutions for all our customers. This Refund Policy outlines the terms related to payments, cancellations, reservations, refunds, account credits, and customer responsibilities associated with renting storage units, camper/RV parking spaces, or related services.
By reserving, renting, or utilizing the services provided by Piedmont Storage Facility, customers acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Refund Policy.
PAYMENTS & RENTAL FEES
All rental fees are due in advance according to the terms specified in the customer’s rental agreement or billing schedule.
Payments may include, but are not limited to:
- Monthly storage rental fees
- Camper or RV parking rental fees
- Administrative fees
- Reservation deposits
- Late fees
- Lockout fees
- Other service-related charges
Unless otherwise stated in writing, all payments are considered non-refundable once a rental period has begun or access to a storage unit or parking space has been granted.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that all payment information provided is accurate and current.
MOVE-OUTS & EARLY VACANCY
Customers must notify management prior to vacating a storage unit or parking space.
Rent is not prorated for partial months or unused days following move-out. If a customer vacates a unit before the end of a billing cycle, the remaining balance for that rental period will not be refunded or credited unless otherwise approved in writing by management.
Customers remain responsible for all charges until proper move-out procedures have been completed and the unit or parking space has been fully vacated.
RESERVATIONS & DEPOSITS
Reservation fees or deposits may be refundable only if all of the following conditions are met:
- The reservation is canceled prior to move-in
- No access has been granted to the storage unit or parking space
- The reserved space has not been occupied
- The cancellation request is submitted within any applicable cancellation window
Refund eligibility for reservations, deposits, or prepaid services is determined solely at the discretion of Piedmont Storage Facility management.
Approved refunds may require processing time depending on the payment method used.
LATE PAYMENTS & ACCOUNT DELINQUENCY
Failure to make timely payments may result in:
- Late fees
- Restricted account access
- Overlock placement
- Denied gate access
- Additional administrative charges
- Collection procedures permitted by applicable law
Late fees, administrative fees, lockout charges, and collection-related costs are non-refundable.
Piedmont Storage Facility reserves the right to pursue collection actions and enforce lien rights as permitted under applicable laws and regulations.
FACILITY ACCESS ISSUES
In the event of a verified issue directly caused by Piedmont Storage Facility that substantially prevents reasonable customer access to a rented storage unit or parking space, management may review the situation and determine whether partial refunds, credits, or account adjustments are appropriate.
Any such accommodations are made solely at management’s discretion and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
WEATHER, NATURAL EVENTS & EXTERNAL CIRCUMSTANCES
Piedmont Storage Facility is not responsible for interruptions, delays, closures, or access limitations caused by:
- Severe weather
- Flooding
- Snow or ice conditions
- Power outages
- Natural disasters
- Government actions
- Emergencies
- Events outside of our reasonable control
Such events generally do not qualify for refunds or credits.
NON-REFUNDABLE FEES
The following fees are generally non-refundable:
- Administrative fees
- Reservation processing fees
- Late fees
- Lockout fees
- Returned payment fees
- Collection-related fees
- Partial month occupancy charges
- Fees associated with policy violations
REFUND PROCESSING
If a refund is approved, it may be issued using the original payment method whenever possible.
Refund processing times may vary depending on:
- Financial institution processing
- Payment provider timelines
- Internal review procedures
Piedmont Storage Facility is not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors or financial institutions.
POLICY CHANGES
Piedmont Storage Facility reserves the right to modify, update, or revise this Refund Policy at any time without prior notice.
Updated policies become effective immediately upon posting unless otherwise stated.
